Remote Mount Marker Beacon Receiver Kit
RST-522, $102
Integrated circuit active tone filters provide superior performance while simultaneously eliminating the need for bulky audio inductors. A computer-derived RF filter and separate AGC amplifier provide reliable operation and stable, easy alignment. Construction and operation manual included.
Panel Mount Marker Beacon Receiver Kit
RST-523, $119
The RST-523 is identical to the RST-522 with the addition or three super bright LED indicators on the front panel of the marker chassis plus the addition of an on-off power switch. The internal circuitry is identical in the two units. Construction and operation manual included.
There is an LED Blue White Mod Kit available for those who prefer the traditional color lights.
Specifications
All marker transmitters operate at 75.0 MHz. and are tone coded for Outer Marker (400 Hz.), Middle Marker (1300 Hz.), and Inner/Fan Marker (3000 Hz.). Small tone filters in the receiver discriminate which of these frequencies is being transmitted and lights an LED on the panel.
- Input: Standard marker beacon antenna (sled boat, or other design with a 50 ohm impedance). 1000 microvolts at the antenna provides full lamp brilliance.
- Outputs: Audio. 8 volts p-p (adjustable) into a 600 ohm impedance. Lamps. Ground within one volt for a 60 mA lamp (RST 522 only)
- Marker display: (523 only) Light emitting diode 30 mA. Green (OM), Yellow (MM), Red (IM).
- Lamp test: (523 only) One second full brightness of all three lamps at turn-on.
- Audio Filters: 400 Hz (OM), 1300 Hz (MM), and 3000 Hz (IM).
- Power: 12 to 14 volts at 0.030 amp quiescent (0.060 amp maximum).
